The Viking Library System provides bookmobile service to rural residents in Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Pope, Stevens and Traverse counties who live in communities without a public library. Service is also provided to senior care and assisted living facilities, day cares and schools located in communities without a public library.
Updated June 24, 2020 COVID-19 Response Update
Dear bookmobile and outreach patrons,
Our primary concern remains the health of our patrons and staff, and we are following CDC and Minnesota Department of Health guidelines in providing services.
On March 16th, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing guidelines, we temporarily suspended our regular bookmobile services.
If you regularly use the Bookmobile:
Place holds in the online catalog: vikinglibrarysystem.org. Choose "Bookmobile"as your item pick up location.
Holds will be delivered to you in one of two ways:
We will provide contactless delivery to your house or
We will mail your holds to your house.
Once you have placed your holds, Viking Library System staff will contact you to let you know how we will be getting your materials to you.

Viking Library System member libraries are proving contactless curbside pick up of library materials.

The bookmobile and member libraries also offer a wide variety of electronic resources including Ebooks, downloadable audiobooks, streaming movies, TV and music, and a wide variety of educational databases and distance learning resources.
